Rachael's Dog Squad
In July 2017 Rachael was diagnosed with an incurable brain tumour, she was just 30 years old.
Rachael had brain surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, despite this and through sheer
determination she returned to work a year later.
By January 2021 it was clear that her condition was getting worse, she was told that her tumour was
multiplying and growing aggressively and she was inoperable.
Rachael’s health meant that she had to give up the job she loved as an RSPCA Animal Carer.
On 1st April 2021 Rachael died, she had just celebrated her 34th birthday a few weeks before.
Rachael’s Dog Squad was formed to honour her memory by fundraising for Brain Tumour Research Charity.
